Promoting Agritourism + Attracting Food and Hospitality Businesses to the Finger Lakes

The Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce had plans to host the premier farm-to-table event in the Finger Lakes. Then COVID-19 came along. So the Chamber worked with our team at Agency 29 to transform the event from an in-person model to a hybrid event. The Agency 29 team helped the Chamber nimbly switch up the messaging and marketing tactics to bring in attendees.

How did we turn this into a hybrid event? Every participant received a curated event kit. Each kit included a book about the Finger Lakes Wine Industry, tasty treats from local Finger Lakes businesses, and business information. Agency 29 handled the event branding, strategy, web design and development, public relations, email marketing, and social media.

As experts in the industry, our team also moderated panels on topics related to business plans for agri-culinary ventures and restaurant industry trends. 

Agency 29 created a branded event that lets the world know that in the Finger Lakes, “The future looks delicious”. 


Our work on AlfrescoFLX won first place for Best Virtual Event in the Best of National Agri-marketing Association Awards, 2021. This project also won a Pinnacle Award from the Rochester chapter of the American Marketing Association.
