Helping Fox Run Vineyards Attract New Wine Enthusiasts

Fox Run Vineyards sought a strategic marketing anchor and extension of the Fox Run Vineyards in-house marketing team. The business encompasses winemaking, a tasting room and cafe. Their leadership was looking to develop smart, strategic and creative marketing collateral and campaigns to optimize revenue, ROI, strategic partnerships, influencer engagements, and user-generated content.

Agency 29 worked with Fox Run Vineyards to bolster the brand, strengthen awareness, and scale product demand regionally. Through monthly revenues and quarterly Strategic Planning sessions, we used key metrics on sales and marketing performance to evaluate and communicate opportunities and efficiencies back to the Fox Run Vineyards team.

The Challenge

The folks at Fox Run Vineyards are committed to sharing their love of wine and leading the industry by example: a passionate team making great wine from the highest quality grapes in a profitable, sustainable, and environmentally responsible way. 

However, the wine industry as a whole is facing challenges. As wine drinking audiences age, they are less likely to consume or they consume less than they have previously. Younger age demographics are choosing other beverage options rather than wine. 

While the Finger Lakes is known for its Rieslings, Fox Run Vineyards seeks to encourage audiences to explore the region for its other exceptional offerings, such as  Chardonnay and red grape varietals that flourish in the deep and well-drained soil.

How We Did It

Agency 29 collaborated with Fox Run Vineyards’ leadership and in-house marketing team to create a marketing roadmap and strategy that would drive sales and product demand regionally. These strategies included opportunities to identify and scale revenue with new retailers, strategic partners, and wine club membership sales.

In working toward these goals, we established strong foundational and consistent brand and messaging guidelines to be implemented across multiple marketing materials and channels. We designed strategic marketing collateral to support retailer and distributor relationships, such as point-of-sale materials and outreach campaigns.

We further identified opportunities and efficiencies through website, email, social media and sales analytics to increase engagement, sales, recurring purchases and wine club membership enrollment and retention. 

Agency 29 also provided video and photography shoots developing assets to be used throughout the Fox Run Vineyards website and social media, as well as providing social media support with theming, captions, and imagery.

Fox Run Vineyards strives to make wine approachable, accessible, and inclusive. They believe anyone should be able to enjoy a glass of wine regardless of where they are on the wine experience spectrum. Fox Run Vineyards is family-owned and has been making estate wines since 1989.
